# RealTimeNote

> Share text online in real time. Paste text, share the link, and see it together instantly.

RealTimeNote creates private live rooms for sharing text. No account, no install, nothing stored: each room starts a fixed 5-minute session (switchable to 10 or 30 minutes or 1 hour), then seals itself and every byte is deleted.

How it works: open the site and click **New note** for a short, unguessable link like `/r/aB7Kd9xQ`. Type or paste text — plain notes, JSON, SQL, logs, Markdown, URLs, Unicode. Press **Copy link** and send it over WhatsApp, Slack, or email. Anyone opening the link joins the same live session on any network, with presence, typing indicators, reconnects, and a visible session countdown.

Key facts: fixed sessions (5 min default; 10 or 30 min, or 1 hour; extendable once by one full length); up to 64 people per room; documents up to 2MB; live memory only (no database, no logs, no browser storage — expired rooms cannot be recovered); WebSocket sync with snapshots and automatic resync; Secure rooms use AES-256-GCM with keys derived from the room link (server sees ciphertext only); the Encrypt & Decrypt tab runs AES-256 locally in the browser tab; free, no account.
